Family-Friendly Cottage 

Brand new to the Carswell Holidays portfolio, only refurbished in 2023 by the owners and renowned interior designer; Siobhan Hayles. Boundary Cottage, an semi-detached cottage (next door to Shepherd’s Cottage) oozing luxury throughout, with its stylish colour palette, luxurious fabrics and a bathroom that you’ll never want to leave. Boundary is the perfect romantic cottage for two or family with young children.

The Property:

Downstairs benefits from a good-sized, open-plan kitchen/living/dining room. At the front of the room is the living area with large, comfy sofa perfectly positioned in front of the wood-burner or why not relax on the ottoman next to the fire, after a long day exploring the coastal path with a good book and glass of wine.

The kitchen offers excellent space to cook with all the essentials required, including an Sandyford oven providing Country charm to the room. Downstairs benefits from a good sized utility room with washer-drier, walk-in shower, loo and wash-basin.

Stairs lead up to the first floor; cosy children’s bunk room, master bedroom with king-size bed – beautifully furnished and styled, complimenting the coastal, countryside surroundings. The main feature of Boundary Cottage is the bathroom and a space in which the owners wanted to provide a room of luxury and an area for all the family to enjoy bath-time! Positioned in front of the large sash window with views across the fields and the chance of watching our dairy cows enjoying the lush green grass is a cast-iron roll top bath. Large daybed to sit back and watch the children enjoy bath-time.

From the back door, its opens out to a good-sized gravelled area with garden table and chairs, charcoal barbeque and stylish garden seating with views across the lawned area and over the hedge line to the fields beyond. The back garden offers plenty of space for children to run around and enjoy. Paved path leads round to the front of the cottage with small manicured flower bed. There is a gate to enclose the outside space.

There is a shared wild flower meadow (summer), orchard and play area for you all to enjoy, situated between The Lodge and Shepherd’s Cottage.

Hire a LAZ-Y-SPA whilst on holiday. We’re now offering a 4 person LAZ-Y-SPA, filled and ready to go – at an additional cost.  Please note we only have one and this is shared between 3 cottages, therefore book early. Bookable by contacting Jo.

Doubles, singles or quadruples, no we’re not talking about drinks, we’re talking about tennis! This year we’re offering the opportunity to use Carswell Farm’s hardcore tennis court (pre-book) – for guests wanting to stay active this summer, why not get in touch and book!

*Please bring your own tennis rackets and balls, pre-bookable only for one hour at a time. The tennis courts are within the grounds of the owners house, therefore no dogs allowed.

Amenities:

In addition to the woodburner in the living area, Boundary Cottage is centrally heated throughout and has all the standard amenities offered in our other holiday cottages.

Hotel quality white bed linen and big fluffy towels are all provided, as well as tea-towels, bath mats and environmentally friendly cleaning materials. We put delicious local organic milk in the fridge for your arrival with our compliments, along with enough recycled paper toilet rolls, fair trade tea, coffee, sugar to get you started!

Meal hampers: 
We offer a number of hampers which can be pre-ordered and placed in Boundary Cottage ready for your arrival, so you don’t have to worry about cooking for the first 24 hours. Check out what food hampers are available.

Events: 
Throughout the year we offer a unique collection of workshops such as foraging and safari tours, here at Carswell Farm. It’s a great way to experience something new, in the great outdoors.
